Baguio is one of the cleanest and safest places to visit in the Philippines.  Still, it is best to take all the necessary precautions to make your stay as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.

Always take good care of your phones, cameras, laptops and other belongings, especially in public places.  Put a comb in the fold of your wallet to deter pickpockets.  Don't carry all your cash in one pocket or purse.  Use the hotel safe for valuables.

Bottled water is safer than tap water.  If you have a sensitive stomach, it is advisable to bring your own bottled water.

When traveling as a group, assign a buddy for each person.  This is still the most effective way to keep track of everyone.

Be smart.  Don't be outsmarted.  Some of our hotel guests have reported getting some of the following unfair and untrue comments from some UNSCRUPULOUS taxi drivers.  When asked to be brought to HOTEL VENIZ, they are instead brought to other lodging places with whom they may have prior arrangements.  Some of their "excuses" are:
1. “Veniz is fully booked.” (Although it does happen, but with over 100 rooms, chances are, we have a room for you. Please do text or call us to confirm room availability)
2. “Veniz is far.” (Actually, Veniz is in the heart of Baguio. We are less than 5 minutes away from the Victory Liner bus terminal)
3. “Veniz is dirty.” (Veniz maintains a high standard of cleanliness.  Please let us show you our rooms prior to checking in)
4. “Veniz is expensive”. ( We are proud that we give value for your money. We offer a clean and comfortable room in a very convenient location at very reasonable rates)
5. “ Veniz has no water”. (We have our own deep well to back up our water supply from the city)
6. “Veniz has brownouts”. (We have our own generator PLUS a back up unit in case of brownouts)

Bring a first aid kit.
